History

Our Tissue laboratory was the FIRST established commercial in vitro laboratory in Poland. It was founded in 1968 by the initiative of prof. Władysław Oszkinis in the Nursery at Owińska near Poznan. In the laboratory carnation seedlings were tested to detect the presence of fungal diseases in parasitic beams. By the end of 1969 the work was started for freeing Dianthus from viruses using the method of isolated vertebrate meristems cultures in vitro. Later it turned into multiplication of Dianthus by the same method (for the first time in Poland).

Since then, we have been successfully breeding pot plants such as ALOCASIA, MUSA, DROSERA KAIETEURENSIS, FICUS, SYNGONIUM or nursery: VACCINIUM, LONICERA CAERULEA, GIPSOPHYLLA, CHERRY, RUBUS, RHEUM , DAHLIA, LILIUM and others. Our plants met with the appreciation of gardeners and nurseries in Poland and other European countries.
